Attention to detail

We recognize that renovating your home can be disruptive and stressful. That’s why it’s important to us that we make the extra effort to ensure that your experience of working with us is hassle-free and enjoyable.

We ensure that your project is completed according to specifications, on time, and most importantly, on budget.

Collaboration + Excellence

As far as we know our CEO and project manager, Clemens von Reitzenstein, is the ONLY renovation company president in NYC with an engineering degree, an MBA and a 5-star attitude. Yes, in addition to all the qualifications, he’s also a really nice guy – just ask his previous clients.

In a field known for its inefficiencies, lack of transparency, and predatory practices, here at BRACE we pride ourselves on our open, collaborative and professional attitude that rates YOUR satisfaction and happiness as our #1 priority.

That’s why you can rely on accurate, systematic and measurable processes, from a highly skilled team of hand-selected professionals, to ensure the successful outcome of your project.

You can also expect detailed cash flow projections, flowcharts and timelines to monitor each and every step of the project – and regular scheduled meetings and updates so you can keep track too.

Our Story

Brace Enterprises, LLC was founded by Clemens von Reitzenstein in 2008. You may be surprised to know that Clemens’ journey to becoming one of the most respected figures in the NY renovation scene was not a typical one…

Clemen’s first career was as a mechanical engineer (Mechanical Technology degree with a Bachelor degree in Engineering Science, Hofstra University). After obtaining his MBA (NYU, Stern School of Business, with a double major in management and finance), Clemens worked in the field of management consulting and corporate turnarounds. But as it turned out it was these combined experiences which later helped Clemens hone the skills of complex project management needed in high-end residential renovations.

“We deliver complex residential renovations on-time, on budget, and to specification.”

It all began when Clemens purchased a “fixer-upper” property and so thoroughly enjoyed taking on the challenges and problems involved that this experience ultimately served as the catalyst for starting Brace Enterprises, LLC.

While renovating that first property, Clemens recognized the multiple and significant challenges involved and saw that his skills in complex project management, engineering, and financial management had been a huge factor in the successful completion of the project.

And the rest, as they say, is history.

“My vision for BRACE Enterprises has always been to be perceived as a strong, honest, and reliable (problem-solving) company that keeps its promises, enhances beauty, contributes to people’s happiness and doesn’t stop until its clients are fully satisfied.”

Founder, Brace Enterprises, LLC

“Working with Brace was absolutely a great experience for me.”

“Not only were they very professional, attentive to details and cordial when responding to my concerns, but they were key to getting the renovation done right and ultimately increasing the equity value of my property significantly.

And best of all, I ended up turning a “lemon” into the home of my dreams!”

“Marcia is an interior designer who is happy she chose Brace for renovating her own home…”

“Working with Brace Enterprises has been a real pleasure. Three important reasons stand [out] in my mind. They are very precise in their estimating and pricing, they set high standards for themselves and expect the same of those who work with them, and they run their projects very efficiently. As an interior designer it makes my work easier when a project is well managed, clients are happy and well informed and know that promises made will be kept. I am happy that we chose Brace from among the three contractors we were considering for our three bedroom renovation in the Upper East Side. Brace has done an excellent job, in a timely manner, and was very upfront with projected costs. I look forward to working with them again.”

“I worked with Brace Enterprises on the renovation of a classic six apartment in a prewar building in on the Upper West Side and have only good things to say about them and their work.”

“I was very happy with Brace’s craftsmanship and how they managed the project from day one to conclusion – within a timely manner, clean work, responsive crew and excellent handling of logistics – and so were my clients. The work had its challenges because the apartment was 100 years old and required some meticulous work – including the restoration of some old moldings and French doors that the owners did not want to replace. Also I like to pay a lot of attention to details and I am not shy about introducing interesting color contrasts in my designs, which adds challenge to the work. I have no reservations about recommending Brace, I am very happy about how they execute their work, their attention to detail and how professional they are.”
